O.K. so I go to the Rhuematologist for my 6 week Remicade treatment. Now usually when its time for the treatment, I need the treatment. But surprisingly I felt pretty good. I told them about the M.R.I. and they got on the horn and called the hospital for the report. So I get weighed in (UGH!) and I go sit in the recliner and wait for Nancy to hook up the I.V. Well, after blowing out 3 or 4 veins, I said to Nancy, maybe I am not supposed to get my treatment today. She did another stick and it blew also. About that time, the doctor came in and said she (meaning me) can't have remicade today because of her having M.S. (Welllll............ I guess there will be no surprises when I go to the Neurologist tomorrow.) Now normally, that Nancy is so good she gets the stick on the first try!
If anyone thinks that those 5 veins closing down to keep me from that treatment is an accident, we need to talk and pray together. I feel the hand of God is on me and Larry. You see, it seems that Remicade makes M.S. symptoms worse. That may explain why I am so exhausted all the time.

The Next Read
The Barnes Girls
I leave you with this as my parting post for today.
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2)

Today is our son's 36th birthday.
He is still a beautiful child in my eyes. I love you and miss seeing you.
Wednesday, I go to the neurologist. I have verses, given to me by God, through our pastor, Tom Scott. From Job2:10...shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity....
And from the prayer of Habakkuk 3:18 Yet I will exault in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. 19 The Lord God is my strength, and He has made my feet like hinds' feet, and makes me walk on my high places.
And all Gods' people said Amen.
I encourage you to love one another. That is how we will know you are Christians!! <><

Funny Read (or listen, tee hee)
My honey finally had time to go to the library for me. I had 5 holds come in. I was beginning to think that they were going to go ahead and give them to the next people on the list.
This book is a murder mystery but it is written in the same humorous way "Compromising Positions" was written over 20 years ago. Even though it is a different author. Do you remember that movie? Raul Julia, was the cop. He died not too long after the film was released. Judith Ivey, who is a hoot, and Susan Saradon, one of my favorite actresses.
Last nite I finished Deb's other sock. (You can thank me later, Miss Deb, and I started the Irish Hiking Scarf. I am doing it in Red Heart Yellow. Will post a pic maybe tomorrow.
Now it's time to get back to the book and the scarf.
Happy Knitting, and God Bless!! <><

Herman Ernest Henninger
Today would have been Herman's 81th(?) birth anniversary. I had to write it that was because he told me you only have 1 birthday. All the rest are anniversaries. He was a wise, kind, gifted, nice guy. We lost him, I think in 2000. He loved to dance (square dancing), watching baseball, (it didn't matter who was playing) and he loved Alice, my mother-in-law. He was supportive of his kids in all that they set out to do.
I forgot to say, he knit me one of my favorite afghans. Yellows and oranges. Absolutely beautiful! And for Christmas, he would knit 5 or 6 dishcloths as a gift.

Gray ole day
Here is a pic of the barn that is on the property. Today is a cold damp gray day. I still haven't finished Bree's Clapotis. Can't seem to stay focused for long. And the aches and pains have settled in for the day. I still need to make some sox for Alexander and maybe his daddy if the next months color is for guys. Love to all the family and to all the friends.

Abby Normal
Yep, that's me. My MRI came back abnormal. They are sending me to a neurologist next. Also I have a sinus infection. Which in the grand scheme of things is pretty low on the concern list right now. I asked if it was a tumor or what and she said it was just some abnormalities. Maybe like MS or something. Well, I already have R.A. and that is a autoimmune disease too. Who knows? I will just go to the dr. apppt. and find out. So there! Keep on knittin and enjoying this world. And love one another because thats how we know who is who around here.

5th Week Palsy picture
yesterday my mom brought me home after my MRI. That was interesting. You have to place your head in this basket looking thing and they place foam wedges around your head to help you keep it immobile while they take the pictures. You have earphones on and can hear music and the tech's voice. He told me I would hear sounds. and I did. It was like having a jack hammer working in your ears. after about an hour he pulled the table out and injected dye into my arm and then pushed the table back into the MRI machine, and took a few more pictures. talk about a head ache! But it's over and now I just have to wait for results. It should be interesting. Thanks mom. By the way, this is also the 5 Week Palsy picture. Not bad at all.

Week 4: Bell's Palsy
Since I had flu symtoms all day yesterday I did get a lot of rest. I also went to the doctor and mentioned some double vision and headaches, sooooooooooooo, now I get to go have a brain MRI. I asked if she was going to have me sedated, she said no, "is that a problem?" I told her if she puts the big ole' girl in that tube, it was going to get ugly. So now I get a open sided one. I am sure they won't find anything. How does the saying go? "Nuttin' in my head, nope, nuttin. By the way I don't feel near a good as this picture makes me look.
