Something you didn't know about me....I like swing music

Happy B day to Benny Goodman b. 1909 d. 1986 Posted by Picasa

Why

Why would anyone want to catch a hammerhead? He wasn't going to eat it, and he did give it away. Makes no sense to me. 1,262 lbs for those who are curious. Posted by Picasa

O.K. I finished the shawl for J.B

I gave her the clapotis in browns. As you will see from the photos she has the most delicious brown eyes. I hope she liked it. It should look Beeeautiful on her. I ripped out the green and have started it again. Those big balls of boucle that you see at Jo-Ann's are perfect for the clapotis pattern as written. I used a bambo circular size 9 Amer. I have a ball about the size of a soft ball left over. I may make her a hat later this year.Hope everyone is having a great Memorial Day today, and may your day be blessed. Posted by Picasa

J. A. B. Graduates

My neice, J., graduated today. She is the youngest of my little sister, Tonda, and Tim's children. She is such a beauty and I cannot believe how quickly the years have gone by. I love her and wish her only sweet things for her future. She is planning to go to school to learn to sign professionally. I hope I had a small part in her desire to assist the deaf. You go girl.

we had a tremendous storm here yesterday and this rainbow ended in the woods just across the drive from our apartment. I thought maybe my pain meds were messing with me so I called my hunny to come look and he saw it too.  Posted by Picasa

James 1:19

My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.

Have a brake on your tongue; hit the throttle on your ears. Let your angry email sit three days before responding and make sure you read it and edit it before you send it. Keep you mouth shut and your ears open. They all say the same thing. Now if we would just do it, wouldn't the Christian community be so much more blessed!

Now this is what we should use those handy little post-its for. Posted by Picasa

I spent a frustrating day yesterday. I couldn't get on my msn IM. and then.............my phone line was dead..................until after 10 last nite. gggggrrrrrrrr. Talk about being isolated. But it turned into a great knitting day. Did I tell everyone that I started a new clapotis because of a mistake I made on the green one. Lindsay, it must be catching (the omission of the ssk at the end of the straight rows) again, gggggrrrrr.

I will not leave you comfortless; I will come to you. (John 14:18 KJV)

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only that which is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. (Ephesians 4:29, 30)

Ben Alexander spoke at our church today. He lectures on how the world is attacked through the occult. He also speaks tonite, and tomorrow nite.

As the Father has sent Me, I am sending you. And with that He breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” (John 20:21, 22)
