Socks, socks, socks

I am almost finished with hunny's socks. they turned out pretty good. Everyone who sees the basket says ooohhhh, what is that? I don't think anyone knits socks on circulars around here. Even the gal at the yarn shop said, "You do know that these needles are the same size, don't you?" At $7.50 per needle I would think she would just say thank you, come again..hahahaha 

Monday Morning results

I worked on this most of Saturday and a little on Sunday and this is all I have done!! I am getting sooooo slow.

Went to sign class. Really needed to brush up. We had to use ear plugs which don't cut all sound out, but the majority. Enough so that you must focus on the teacher. It was a blast!! I think everyone will learn a lot (including me!) and have fun.

Socks for Larry

I finally bought some size 3 circulars so that I don't have to keep track of all those dpn's. Now I gave him a choice of sock yarn and this is not the one I would have picked for him but he picked it himself. shock, surprise! Anyhoo, it is simply stripes from Knitpick. Hey Lindsay, does that marker look familiar. thanks again for those. You are a sweet and thoughtful friend!

You wouldn't believe the problems I have had with the kitchener toe closure for these socks I am making. gggrrrrr and I found an error in the first sock clear down to the heel. Soooo I am going to frog it. gggrrr bad day!!

Blogging Anniversary

Today is my blog anniversary! One year today. I think about all that has happened in the last year and it makes me shudder! But I don't think I would change a moment. God is so good to me. I pray that I will be more faithful than I have been.

I have finally finished the poncho, I need to find my finishing needle to sew it up. and then finish the edges so they don't curl. I'm hoping to pick some up before I pick up the younger kids for church.
I am teaching Bree's class again so that she can go to Morgan's golf match.

remembering? who will ever forget

I have been knitting as much as I can on this poncho. It is almost ready to be cast off, and sewn up. It helped having that 5 hour movie on television remembering 9/11. Who could ever forget?

Crikey!

I was so saddened to learn of Steve Irwin's passing. About 8 years ago, our daughter was going to beauty school and our son-in-law was working the night shift at the Ford plant. So I was watching the girls in the evening until Bree got home from school. And we had a regular routine we would go through. After supper, was bath time and jumping into jammies. Then they would lay down on the sofa, one at each end. Covered up they would get a snack and we would settle in to watch Crocodile Hunter. They just loved to watch that young mans antics. Except when they were operating they didn't like to watch the operations. Now mind you, they didn't mind watching the animals attack and eat each other but no operations. They grew up on Animal Planets television shows, but they love him the most. So now the world says, Goodbye, Mate.
