For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. (1 Corinthians 11:26)

Here, O my Lord, I see Thee face to face; here would I touch and handle things unseen, here grasp with firmer hand eternal grace, and all my weariness upon Thee lean. Here would I feed upon the bread of God, here drink with Thee the royal wine of heav’n. Here would I lay aside each earthly load, here taste afresh the calm of sin forgiv’n.

heck.....tic life

that is what is happening to me lately. and i don't think i adjust to it too well. we went to the soccer games today. after gomery's game he was playing on the monkey bars and it was misting rain. his hands slipped and he fell from the top and conked his head right under the ocipital bone. not a good place. he cried and whined and finally said he wanted to sleep. not a good sign. well, we kept him up. and watched maddie play. she almost made a goal ........but not quite. we went to lunch and then to their house because maddie had a girl scout roller skating thing to do and gramma needed to sit with the littlest, monroe. but we decided it may not be a good idea for gomery to go skating and he didn't even argue about it. so he really really didnt feel good. when his mom left, he kept rubbing his chest and said his heart hurt or maybe it was his chest. now this is a kid who just doesnt complain. and he did it about 7 or 8 more times in the 4 1/2 hrs his mom was gone. so she may end up taking him in for a quick look see. supposed to call me later to let me know. well, i am just about as tired as i can stand and had to take some lortabs and a sleeping pill so that i will be able to sleep without pain all nite. keep a good thought for the little gomery. he is such a great little kid. i usually do my devotion in the early morning but today got away from me.

You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they were created and have their being. (Revelation 4:11)

Come, let us join our cheerful songs with angels round the throne;
Ten thousand thousand are their tongues, but all their joys are one.
“Worthy the Lamb that died,” they cry, “to be exalted thus.”
“Worthy is the Lamb,” our lips reply “for He was slain for us.”
The whole creation joins as one to bless the sacred Name
Of Him that sits upon the throne, and to adore the Lamb.
—Isaac Watts

well, i think i have found an apartment to rent for awhile. we don't want to buy or build anything very soon. man is this place small, but i know we can do it. it is such a relief because we close on this house this coming friday. and i know that couple will be excited to move in a.s.a.p. soooo, packing and resting, packing and resting. yesterday was a horrible one. lots of horrendous pain. not much accomplished. I get to take our washer and dryer. which is good. I think we will need them. this apartment is closer than the house, but i still wouldn't relish schleping laundry to and from the automat. am waiting for the hunny to get home so we can go see the place. it is so far from everything that the owner just leaves it unlocked. better get off here and get ready for church tonite.

This is one of the first songs that I learned in sign language.

God sent His son—they called Him Jesus; He came to love, heal and forgive; He lived and died to buy my pardon; an empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.
How sweet to hold a new-born baby and feel the pride and joy he gives; but greater still the calm assurance: This child can face uncertain days because Christ lives.
And then one day I’ll cross the river; I’ll fight life’s final war with pain; and then, as death gives way to victory, I’ll see the lights of glory—and I’ll know He lives.
Chorus: Because He lives I can face tomorrow, because He lives all fear is gone; because I know He holds the future and life is worth the living—just because He lives.

For Today: John 6:4

I serve a risen Savior; He’s in the world today; I know that He is living, whatever men may say; I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer, and just the time I need Him He’s always near.
In all the world around me I see His loving care, and tho my heart grows weary I never will despair; I know that He is leading thru all the stormy blast; the day of His appearing will come at last.
Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian, lift up your voice and sing eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ the King! The hope of all who seek Him, the help of all who find, none other is so loving, so good and kind.
Chorus: He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart ! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart.

Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with Him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, He cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over Him. (Romans 6:8, 9)

I love this old hymn. A song of victory for all who desire it.

Low in the grave He lay—Jesus, my Savior! Waiting the coming day—Jesus, my Lord!
Vainly they watch His bed—Jesus, my Savior! Vainly they seal the dead—Jesus, my Lord.
Death cannot keep his prey—Jesus, my Savior! He tore the bars away—Jesus, my Lord!
Chorus: Up from the grave He arose, with a mighty triumph o’er His foes; He arose a Victor from the dark domain, and He lives forever with His saints to reign: He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Marge from across the street, (who was there when she was born ((and for Alex too)). Gramma Karen was there. Aunt Bree and Uncle Brad and their four, Morgan, Madison, Montgomery and Monroe.

Wish I could be with them more. She like Alex are growing up without me. Karen is so lucky to be there. To be the grandma they will remember all their lives. Love and prayers to all. Posted by Picasa

Today's song reminds us that we don't have to carry all our burdens and troubles alone. Jesus is always near and heavier burdens than yours have been laid upon his back.

Days are filled with sorrow and care; hearts are heavy and drear; burdens are lifted at Calvary—Jesus is very near.
Cast your care on Jesus today; leave your worry and fear; burdens are lifted at Calvary—Jesus is very near.
Troubled soul, the Savior can see ev’ry heartache and tear; burdens are lifted at Calvary—Jesus is very near.

Refrain: Burdens are lifted at Calvary, Calvary, Calvary. Burdens are lifted at Calvary; Jesus is very near.

Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)

As I approach the throne of God in prayer, today more than other days, I feel such abounding joy. Because my Savior is not still on the cross, or in the tomb. He kicked the walls out and arose. He conquered death in such a public way as to let us know, we also need not fear death. My prayer today is that anyone who is seeking the truth will find a solid, mature child of God and come to know Him, who died for all, as their Savior also. Blessings on this Easter day. I will be signing a song this morning in both services. Pray that I will honor God and Christ with the work of my hands.

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18 KJV)
There is no neutral ground when we face the cross: Either we accept its atoning work and become a new person, or we reject it and remain in our sinful self-centered state. When we take our stand with Christ and His redemption accomplished at Calvary, we are compelled to make two profound confessions: “The wonders of His glorious love and my own worthlessness.”

As we approach the Easter season, I become acutely aware of how precious my salvation is. It came at such a high cost. It was purchased and paid for in full so that I could become a child of a king. We must remember that we are ambassadors to a kingdom. I try to represent my king in a way that is honoring to him. Have a blessed Easter.

I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses; and the voice I hear, falling on my ear, the Son of God discloses.
He speaks, and the sound of His voice is so sweet the birds hush their singing; and the melody that He gave to me within my heart is ringing.
I’d stay in the garden with Him tho the night around me be falling; but He bids me go—thru the voice of woe, His voice to me is calling.
Refrain: And He walks with me, and He talks with me, and He tells me I am His own, and the joy we share as we tarry there, none other has ever known.
