Today would have been Herman's 81th(?) birth anniversary. I had to write it that was because he told me you only have 1 birthday. All the rest are anniversaries. He was a wise, kind, gifted, nice guy. We lost him, I think in 2000. He loved to dance (square dancing), watching baseball, (it didn't matter who was playing) and he loved Alice, my mother-in-law. He was supportive of his kids in all that they set out to do.
I forgot to say, he knit me one of my favorite afghans. Yellows and oranges. Absolutely beautiful! And for Christmas, he would knit 5 or 6 dishcloths as a gift.
